1. Introduction
Welcome to Rita Space Services (“the Platform”), a professional freelance marketplace operated by Rita Space (ritaspace.org). By accessing or using our Services platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
2. Definitions
“Seller” means any verified professional who offers services on the Platform. “Buyer” means any user who purchases services through the Platform. “Service/Gig” means a specific service offering listed by a Seller. “Order” means a confirmed purchase of a Service.
3. Eligibility
To use the Services marketplace you must: be at least 18 years of age, provide accurate and complete registration information, and comply with all applicable laws. Sellers must additionally submit verified credentials, qualifications, and portfolio evidence as required during the application process.
4. Seller Application & Verification
All Sellers must apply and be approved before listing any services. The approval process requires submission of educational certificates or professional qualifications, a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, a portfolio demonstrating past work, and a valid ID for identity verification. Rita Space reserves the right to approve or reject any application at its sole discretion.
5. Service Listings
Sellers may list services in approved categories only. All listings must accurately describe the service, include realistic delivery timelines, and comply with our Community Guidelines. Rita Space reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms.
6. Orders & Payments
All payments are processed securely through the Platform. Funds are held in escrow until the order is completed and approved by the Buyer. Rita Space charges a platform commission as outlined in our Payment Terms. Orders are considered complete once the Buyer approves the delivered work or after the review period expires.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
Buyers may request a cancellation if the Seller fails to deliver within the agreed timeframe or if the delivered work fundamentally differs from the service description. Refund decisions are made at Rita Space’s discretion following a review process.
8. Prohibited Activities
Users may not: circumvent the Platform to complete transactions off-platform, submit false credentials or misrepresent qualifications, engage in harassment, spam, or fraudulent activity, violate intellectual property rights, or use the Platform for illegal purposes.
9. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Sellers transfer full ownership of delivered work to Buyers upon order completion and full payment. Sellers warrant that all delivered work is original and does not infringe third-party rights.
10. Dispute Resolution
In case of a dispute between Buyer and Seller, both parties should first attempt to resolve it directly. If unresolved within 48 hours, either party may open a formal dispute through Rita Space. Our resolution team will review the case and issue a binding decision within 5 business days.
11. Limitation of Liability
Rita Space acts as an intermediary platform and is not liable for the quality, accuracy, or legality of services offered by Sellers. Our total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid through the Platform in the 3 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to Terms
Rita Space reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
